What about using identity as automatic login?

I'd like to recommend a "login" mode, where you don't need username and password, but can simply associate a username with the identity you are using in nomadnet.

This way it will be much easier to interact with the forum, and you don't have to remember any passwords. It is also more secure this way, since the random identity keys are much longer (and random) than a user-choosen password.

This kind of stuff was also the design intention behind the option to let users choose to identify to remote nodes or not - so we could easily do auth without having the hassle of usernames and passwords ;)

Of course, I understand sometimes you do want manual login, but personally, I'd rather be without it!

Thanks for all the work on this!

Also, when logged in to the forum like this, it could calculate and display the LXMF address (or just identity hash) next to username, so people know that you are you. For example, right now, you have no idea if I am unsignedmark, or just an imposter, but with this option, anyone could see that my LXMF address / identity actually matches.

Again, sometimes people don't want this, but sometimes they do, and it is a good option to have.

It shouldn't that hard to implement. I guess I'll add something like permanently linking your username/password account to your nomadnet identity and registration with a nomadnet idententy.

Yeah, something like that would be very useful I think. All in all, this is already a great tool! This was the kind of stuff I hoped people would be able to make when I started writing nomadnet :)
